How does the right bra looks like?

  • Back of the bra should stay horizontal across back and bra should be at the same height on your back as it is on your chest. If it rides up, band size may be too large.

  • Underwire should lie on the skin so that we are unable to stick a finger under it or pull the front of the bra away from the body. If so, your band size is probably too large and sometimes your breasts can even move out below the cups.

  • The bra straps shouldn't cut into your shoulders and they also shouln't fall down. The best way is when you can shove two fingers under the strap comfortably.

  • The cups of the bra really have to fit. When you adjust your breasts in the bra and cups are still crouching or changing the shape, you must choose different cup size. When the cups stick out - they are too big. When your breasts are bulging out of the top or sides of the cup - the cup size is too small.

  • While wearing the right bra size you should be able to put three fingers under the bra back. And that's enough!

  • It is important to know how to adjust your bra. Underwire should copy your breasts across its lenght and ending up in the armpit. The best way how to adjust your bra is to grab your breast from above with one hand and grab the underwire with other hand. Then pull the underwire a bit down and backwards.

  • While wearing the right bra size, it should stay on its place even when you lean forward, lift your hands, jump or make any other movement. You don't need to fix your bra during the day!

If you are not sure whether you have the right bra size, you can also try to have a look for the light bruises on the body when you remove your bra! Let's see how the bruises look like with the right bra size:

As you can see in the picture, the bra band stays horizontal across back, which is the way it should be. If the bra band is too big, bruises will be visible riding up from the breast to the armpits (in the case that you can even see the bruises from that big band).

Underwire nicely copy the breasts across its length, does not lie on breast tissue and at the same time it is not far away from the breasts - that can by caused with too wide underwire. In the case the cups are too small they usually lie on the breast tissue, which is really bad!
